I have had over 20 year’s experience as a professional writer, 7 years as an educator, and the owner of multiple businesses (all concurrently) that have been full of opportunities and challenges. My personal journey has given me a beautiful family and community in which to live.

At this juncture in my life, however, I find myself an unexpected widow. This curveball has caused me to redirect my energy in a way that propels me to take charge of my future to become an emotionally strong and professionally fulfilled individual. I have assumed ownership of my husband’s plumbing and heating company, resigned from teaching, and reignited my writing career.

I now find myself striving to make an impact on others’ lives. One way I’m able to do that is through writing. I draw from my various experiences to team up with organizations that are focused on creating intentional and purposeful change. I’ve been able to use this skill to touch hearts, motivate entrepreneurs, and provoke movement and advocacy for those who are less fortunate.

From grant writing and authoring books to motivational speaking, I forge ahead with the intent to add value to your non-profit organization or grant writing team. I hope that my story will serve to inspire women in business to be prepared and resilient in life.
